Using Google Password Manager on Android Will Become Very Simple

Due to Google's built-in Password Manager, Android and Google Chrome users will have quick access to all login information on each of their devices. Thus, logging into various applications and services will become as simple and fast as possible, since it will require only one click to confirm the data.

The main inconvenience of Google's password manager is that it is not a separate application like many similar services, but rather an auto-fill service. Thus, in order to use it and make any adjustments, you need to go deep enough into the Android settings. However, the latest update from Google partly solves this problem, as it makes access to working with passwords easier. And although it is still not a standalone application, it is already quite a big step for users.

An update to the Google Play system in June 2022 made it possible to create a Password Manager shortcut that can be placed on the home screen of your tablet or smartphone. This solution greatly simplifies access to autocomplete data, which even advanced users found too long and tedious. The option to create a shortcut has become part of the v22.18 update. Despite this, the functionality still seems raw because such a shortcut is still not displayed among applications, and there is also no biometric identity verification when trying to access the shortcut, which significantly affects security.

Meanwhile, Google's steps toward users give enough optimism to further improve the password manager into an application with a well-thought-out interface.
