Acer's Predator Helios AI Gaming Laptops and Next-Gen Monitor Unveiled at CES 2024

Acer has recently made exciting announcements at CES, particularly regarding enhancements to its flagship gaming laptop, the Predator Helios. The new model, branded as the Predator Helios AI, will be available in two sizes: 16 inches and 18 inches. These advanced models are equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX chip and Nvidia GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs, which support DLSS 4. They is capable of being set up with a maximum of 64GB of memory and a staggering 4TB of PCIe Gen 5 storage.

The Predator Helios AI models also feature 6th Gen AeroBlade metal fans that increase airflow by 20%, enhancing cooling performance. Additionally, the MagKey 4.0 mechanical switches provide a satisfying tactile experience. The 18-inch variant is notable for its 4K MiniLED WXQGA display, operating at a refresh rate of 120Hz and capable of reaching up to 1000 nits of brightness. This model includes dual-mode functionality, allowing users to switch to FHD resolution at an impressive 240Hz. Conversely, the 16-inch variant showcases a WXQGA OLED screen with a resolution of 2560x1600, supporting refresh rates up to 240Hz.

In parallel, Acer has introduced the Predator Helios Neo 16S AI, which incorporates many similar features but in a more compact design with slightly less powerful elements.

Furthermore, Acer unveiled its latest high-performance gaming monitor, the Predator XB323QX. This impressive 31.5-inch display offers 5K resolution paired with a 144Hz refresh rate and a 0.5 ms response time. It can also switch to WQHD resolution of 2560x1440 at a remarkable 288Hz refresh rate, boasting 95% DCI-P3 and 99% sRGB color accuracy. The monitor is designed with two DisplayPort 1.4 ports and two HDMI 2.1 ports for versatile connectivity. However, specifics regarding the monitor's release date and pricing have yet to be announced.
